That might be my favorite pumpkin ever. And *almost* every year I attend a pumpkin carving contest with some of the most talented and original pumpkin carvers I have ever seen! How can you not love a pumpkin who reads?
Sadly, that was the only picture (snapped with my phone at a bagel place, don't even remember the name) I took while I was in Seattle and Portland over the weekend. I flew to Seattle on Friday to stay with one of my best friends in her cozy little house near the university. We had a great dinner and stayed up too late talking before getting up on Saturday and driving (well, in my case, riding) to Portland where I attended the baby shower of a close friend due in December. It was a surprise to her and one that I am so glad I was able to pull off!
After the lovely shower, my friend and I headed to our hotel in Portland where we spent more time catching up before dinner and drinks. I managed to stay up until 11:00 p.m. and fell asleep (with my glasses on) during the beginning of the movie. And then it was time to drive back to Seattle and head home on the plane. It was too brief a visit, but so good to catch up with my friends!! I made it home in time for a few trick-or-treaters on Sunday night...Hope your Halloween was a good one, and that it was candy filled. Cannot eat enough Kit Kats, but more on that later.
